A Woman Inspired

Kristen loves tea lattes, weekend hikes, everyday celebrations, her funny husband, and Humphrey Bogart (both the man and the dog she named after him.) She’s a messy faith embracer who believes wild & free things are the best things. She serves on staff as Director of Communications at A Woman Inspired. 

I have this lovely memory tucked away in my heart from my early years in ministry: a hot coffee in hand, an open Bible, my most cherished pen*, and oh, just my favorite women from around the world hanging out at A Woman Inspired.

A Woman Inspired’s 2009 Get Revived conference is still an online ministry highlight of mine. How cool is it that with modern technology we can study the Bible together, get revived, encourage our friends, and do it all in cozy socks?

I “left” that conference (and quite a few after it!) reignited to serve women well online and to rally around my friends who were doing the same. There’s something beautiful about a gathering that leaves you feeling inspired, challenged, and most of all, heard.

For a season, A Woman Inspired went quiet. But during that time the Lord was up to something. He was casting a new vision in the heart of my friend Amy Bayliss. Now, don’t tell Amy I bragged about her but she’s an idea machine whose heart for God is contagious. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for some time now and she has a gift. A gift for teaching in humility, seeing something bigger than what most can imagine, and then setting out to make the vision a reality.

The team at A Woman Inspired is made up of Amy Bayliss, Lisa Boyd, Victoria Jenkins, Elisse Kipe, and myself. Each of us want this ministry to be a haven for women online. We offer daily articles, a weekly podcast, in-depth Bible study workshops, and regular conferences that we hope encourage, equip, and inspire you to take part in the story God is telling. We plan to spotlight awesome ministries and talk to the women that are making a difference in this world.

We’re also thrilled to be launching a new channel, A Woman Becoming, for our early twenties crowd!

We want to come alongside each of you. You, the one who writes early in the morning before the kids wake up, the one who has a message to share right from her living room. You, the one who impacts her neighborhood through small acts of love, or the one who has a heart for healthy homes and dinner conversation. You, the one who has a testimony of radical redemption and what God does in a woman’s heart. You, the one just getting her feet back on the ground, just learning what she is really made of. This ministry is for you.

Our tagline is more than words, it is our heartfelt prayer: A Woman Inspired by God's Word and His design for her life is unstoppable. Come get inspired and equipped to become unstoppable.

*My most cherished pen has since passed on. May she rest in peace.
